Milan - The Walk Around

Pink and I spent a day in Milan just walking aimlessly and chilling out with Junie and Joanna. We stayed in different part of the city but we decided to meet somewhere close to The Duomo. We didn't have any particular itinerary for Milan except for going to The Duomo and finding the most popular gelato joint that we can and help ourselves!

We walked past a fashion store with a very unique window display, which kinda reminded us of the character 贞子 (Sadako) in the Japanese horror film, The Ring.

St. Moritz - Don't Wait Us!

A cute and touching sign by our friend, Junie and Joanna. The four of us were supposed to go to St. Moritz together but somehow we did not, and we went separately in 2 groups - me and Pink in a group and Junie and Joanna another group. All of us didn't have internet once check out from our accommodation. Junie and Joanna made the sign in case they need to show the sign to us if they saw us from their train!

Xi'an - The Highlights

Record breaking - I have recorded 26,147 steps today! From the hostel to main bus terminal to Huaqing Palace (华清池), Army of Terracotta Warriors and Horses (兵马俑), Qin Shihuang Mausoleum (秦始皇陵) and finally back to Xi'an Drum Tower and Bell Tower, all the way by foot and by bus.

Padang Besar - Immigration Stop

We stopped for almost 1.5 hour, from 9.30am to almost 11.00am. I guess it will be a while before I post again as I will loose my broadband Internet connection after I leave the Malaysia border...

China - Solo trip for the first time

I have always travel with my buddy Pink so when the times come for me travel on my own, that tinge of loneliness inevitably sets in... The journey is good so far, with the train bound to Hat Yai from KL arriving on time, unlike my last train adventure where we had to switch to taking the taxi to Bukit Kayu Hitam instead.

Train ticket to Hat Yai is not sold at the counter. Instead one has to buy the ticket on board. Seating is free up to Padang Besar. Seats is allocated for the next leg of the journey to Hat Yai.

The train is approaching Padang Besar after passing Arau. Will be stopping for immigration clearance and refreshment break, after that, its off to Thailand.... :)

Woke up at 4am in the morning, took a horse carriage to the temple site and climbed up to the top of Shwe San Daw Pagoda bare footed and with cold feet (literally!) but it was worth it!
